Sunday Services return to Zoom until the temporary generator outside our suite is removed
The diesel generator situated directly outside the Don Heights sanctuary is still there, much to our chagrin and inconvenience. A fire in the building's electrical room on August 22 and the related wait for a delayed transformer part from Thailand forced the Board to suspend in-person meetings and activities until the generator is gone.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Glenn Tarver Growing Our Congregation
The plan was to organize a one-hour session on Sunday, October 2nd after our morning service and after a break for lunch. Congregation members would have been split into small groups to brainstorm together. Some of us would have been strategizing in person, others on line. I have already prepared a one page summary document to stimulate discussions. Unfortunately, because our Wynford unit is closed until further notice, this initiative has been postponed. Some day we will be back. And when we return, we will take up the challenge. All of us. The future of our congregation depends on each of us. You, me, everyone. |

GENERATOR UPDATE
Your Board was forced to close the space to all planned functions such as Sunday Services, Celebrations of Life and Coffee Houses. Despite the implications to our operations - lost rental revenue potential, not to mention an environment not conducive to fellowship and the practice of our Unitarian faith - the outcome of the meeting was not reassuring. The Board will be pursuing further remedies. In addition to the other impediments, the blockage of our fire exit continues to be a safety concern. All avenues of redress will be explored.
